In these dark times, I think we will always remember who were the voices of peace, hope, and humanity itself.
Today, I want to point to two people who have been doing peace and – in ways direct and indirect – healing work for decades.
Dr. Gabor Maté is a medical doctor, trauma expert, author, and someone whose work and speaking out against injustice I deeply admire.
Dr. Cornel West is a philosopher, political activist, theologist, and someone deeply committed to anti-oppression work.
Not only did this conversation make my day: it did something to my soul.
I hope you, too, listen to it and see your heart expand with hope in humanity.
In one of my previous pieces, I invited you to listen to a speech by Noura Erakat. If you haven’t done it yet, please do.
I also want to share three resources with you that I have created in the last weeks: my videos on the importance of seeking community when things are tough, a reminder that we don’t have to be “perfect people” to do what’s meaningful, and an invitation to ask yourself what you stand for.
Stay strong, check on others, and keep your heart open.

Find my episode that I recorded earlier this year, inviting you to continue speaking out. It’s more relevant than ever:
